Description

Film footage of Northwest Airlines aircraft at an unidentified airfield, possibly at Minneapolis Airport (Minnesota), and at aircraft crash site, circa 1950s. The footage is mostly comprised of scenes of NWA aircraft landing, taxiing, taking off, and being towed. One segment, which begins at 00:01:38, features scenes from the crash site of an unidentified NWA flight, showing debris in a field and people inspecting the site.

Specific aircraft identified in the footage include the Douglas DC-4, Martin Model 202 (tail number NC93056), and Boeing Model 377 Stratocruiser.

The footage is in color and is silent. Several shots are blurry and/or jittery.
