The front of the card has colorful embroidery of flowers and text that reads: "1919 / Best Wishes." The reverse side of the card is inscribed "Merry Christmas / and a / Happy New Year / from / Bernhard." Printed on the card is: "Fabrication Française." The card is accompanied by an envelope mailed by Bernhard Christenson, likely an American soldier serving in World War I, from a camp hospital in France, addressed to Bernice Rockness in Seattle, Washington. It is postmarked December 17, 1918.</p>
