<p>Photograph of a group of soldiers lined up outside a building at the Aviation Ground School at Ohio State University, circa summer 1917. The inscription notes that this was taken on pay day. </p><p>Inscription on album page: "Aviation Ground School. Ohio State University. Columbus, O. June, July, Aug 1917."</p><p>Part of the Wilbur D. Kennedy photograph album containing six hundred and five (605) black-and-white photographs, as well as a few pieces of ephemera, circa 1917-1919. The photos trace Kennedy's military career from his infantry training in the United States to his service in France during World War I and post-war service in Germany.</p>
