Description

Photograph of Charles K. Hamilton flying his Curtiss-Herring No. 1 "Reims Racer" at an air show at Meadows Race Track near Seattle, Washington, March 11 or 12, 1910. Hamilton's flights at this air show are credited as the first heavier-than-air flights in Washington State. 

Inscription on album page: "Close up view of Hamilton's plane in fleight [sic] – 1909-10."

Part of "A Portfolio of Early Aviation Photos, 1908-1913," a photograph album containing ten black-and-white photographs of early aviators and their aircraft.
