Description
Photograph of the U.S. Navy Vought V-173 aircraft (tail number 02978), Texas, circa 1940s. Known as the "Flying Pancake," the V-173 was an experimental aircraft that featured a flying-wing design and articulated propellers. The production model was the Vought XF5U-1 Skimmer.
