Photograph of plumes of smoke in a helicopter landing zone, Vietnam, circa 1970-1971. The photo was taken from a Bell UH-1H Iroquois/Huey helicopter of the 240th Assault Helicopter Company during an air assault.
Caption from donor: "Explosions on LZ; ours or VC??? Time on the ground is [not] longer than 1 second. Troops jump off the helicopter. Anyone not off the helicopter in 1 second is coming out with us."
