Creator
Cook, William Hough, Jr., 1913-2012
Description
Telegram to William H. Cook Sr. from his son, Bill Cook, March 19, 1939. Responds to Coo, Sr.'s previous telegram about the crash of a Boeing 307 Stratoliner during a test flight on March 18, 1939. Cook Jr. states that he is okay, as he was not on the flight, but that his boss, William Doyle, was killed. He also references two "KLM men" that took his spot on the flight, likely referring to Pieter Guillonard, technical director for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Albert Gillis von Baumhauer, an engineer for the Dutch Aviation Authority.
