Typed on verso: "Hqs. Tenth Air Force, China -- Beneath these white crosses are Allied prisoners of war in a Mukden, Manchuria war cemetery. Many of the prisoners in Jap prison camps died and were buried here. Those who survived are speedily being evacuated by Tenth Air Force planes whose pilots were among the first to land in Jap held territory after V-J Day. (USSAF photo.)"
