Felix Waitkus as he 'revved' his motor at the start of the five plane race at the county airport Sunday. But it was almost an unhappy landing. Lieutenant Waitkus made a forced 'dead stick' landing when his motor stalled 1,000 feet in the air. He took second place. Picture by Wisconsin News Staff Photographer."
