There is a large green square that forms the background of the bag on the obverse. Along the top of the green square are the words "AIR SICKNESS BAG." Two more lines of writing appear underneath in Sinhala script. Along the bottom of the bag is the word "AIRLANKA." Just to the right of this is a stylized white bird. It is flying to the right.

The bottom of the bag has the words:
