The top opening has a perforated tab that you tear off to open the bag. On the reverse of the bag near the top opening is a double flexible wire that is meant to secure the bag once it has been closed by folding the top edge over.

Near the top of the bag are two blue horizontal lines. The top line has kanji (Japanese writing), the bottom line has the words " IN CASE OF MOTION SICKNESS." The bottom three inches of the of the bag are blue. Just above this blue filed are the letters "ANA."

On the reverse of the bag are instructions on how to use the bag and how to close it after use. There are three images that are a step by step process. Near the bottom of the bag are the words "AFTER USE, HAND TO STEWARDESS THIS MAY BE USED FOR WASTE OR AIRSICKNESS." The reverse also has kanji that states the same thing as what the English is saying.
