The World War I Photographs are comprised of sixteen (16) photographs of soldiers, circa 1914-1918. The collection is a mix of photo postcards and photographic prints, studio portraits and candid shots, all depicting soldiers from different countries and sides of the war. Some of the postcards include handwritten notes by the soldier pictured. Nationalities include American, British, French, German, and possibly Russian.
Three (3) of the photographs appear to be of the same (likely American) soldier, identified as Glenn A. Nelson in one of the photos. Pictured alone and with women and children, these photos were likely taken at home with family before he shipped out.
