Gold fabric lining inside jacket. Two pockets on front of jacket, with one painted and one leather insignia above those pockets. The former is a very damaged, faded Air Transport Command insignia. The latter is an unknown squadron insignia consisting of what looks like a shark's dorsal fin in an inverted triangle with a cloud and a pair of lighting bolts. On the back, the jacket carries a large painting of a green Chinese dragon and a North American P-51B or C Mustang fighter. The tag, inside, is intact and readable. Jacket is fairly large, as its owner was 6 foot or better.MaterialLeatherServiceUSAAFManufacturerRough Wear Clothing Co.Date1946-1948Signature/MarksLabels: "Type A-2 / Drawing No. 36-1415 / Contract No. W535AC-23380 / Rough Wear Clothing Co. / Middletown, PA / Property Air Force U.S. Army."DimensionsW: 24 in./L: 27 in.Bibliographic CitationThe Museum of Flight CollectionRightsIn copyright
