Scenes include service members posing with aircraft, aircraft on the flight line, aircraft in flight, aerial views of the airfield and other locations, and aircraft performing rolls and other maneuvers. A few segments focus on specific aviators: Kiffin Rockwell, who was killed in 1916; fighter ace Raoul Lufbery, who was killed in 1918; and Edwin C. "Ted" Parsons.

The second segment, which begins at 00:14:24, was filmed on the set of an aviation-themed movie, likely the 1938 film "Men with Wings." The scenes depict various aircraft, mostly vintage biplanes, on the ground, taxiing, and taking off.
