Description
Scrapbook of items related to the World War II military service of Joseph E. Opray, a member of the 635th Tank Destroyer Battalion, U.S. Army), circa 1942-1945. The scrapbook contains postcards and photographs of Opray's training at Camp Hood (Texas) and overseas service in Europe, as well as ephemera such as newspaper clippings, information leaflets, and foreign currency. Also included are several pieces of Nazi paraphernalia, including German military patches, armbands, and a mine marker.
