Photograph of an oil barrel used to heat buildings at Komaki Air Base, Japan, February 4, 1947.
Typed caption on verso: "This is a picture of what the Oil Barrels (Diesel) look like outside our windows. The Tube you see running down the wall is a rubber hose, and it goes in to the stove. In fairly cold weather, a 50 gallon barrel lasts about 1 1/2 weeks. 158th Liaison Squadron. Kamaki [Komaki] Air Base, Nagoya, Japan. 4 Feb 1947."
