Julius Christian Harland Knauss Collection

The Julius Christian Harland Knauss Collection is comprised of a panoramic photograph and a souvenir album, circa 1918-1919, and a magazine clipping, circa 1959, all relating to the Naval Training Camp situated on the University of Washington campus during World War I. The panorama, broken in two parts, shows the camp along the waterfront of the Lake Washington Ship Canal. The clipping includes a later image of the canal in 1959 and a map of the city of Seattle. The album contains photographs of individuals, officers, staff groups, and companies, as well as facilities and activities.
