Sublett is interviewed about his military service and aviation career. In part two, Sublett finishes describing his World War II service, then discusses his experiences as an Air America pilot during the Vietnam War. Topics discussed include his service in England with the 362nd Fighter Squadron, his experiences in Southeast Asia while flying for Air America, and his thoughts on the Vietnam War.

The interview is conducted by fellow fighter ace Eugene A. Valencia. Note that speakers may be difficult to hear in some spots due to faint audio.BiographyJohn L. Sublett was born on October 26, 1921 in Alpine, Texas. He joined the United States Army Air Corps in 1941 and graduated from flight training in 1942. After an initial assignment as a flight instructor, Sublett joined the 357th Fighter Group and was deployed to England. He served with the 362nd Fighter Squadron, flying missions over Germany, France, and other areas of the European Theater. Sublett remained in the military after the end of World War II and went on to serve in various command and staff positions. He retired from the Air Force in 1962 as a lieutenant colonel. Afterwards, he flew for Air America during the Vietnam War.
