Graduating class [Group portrait of soldiers]

Photographic group portrait of the graduating class of the Aviation Ground School at Ohio State University, August 10, 1917. The soldiers pose in uniform with an airplane propeller on the university campus. One man in the back row has his arm in a sling.

Inscription on album page: "Aviation Ground School. Ohio State University. Columbus, O. June, July, Aug 1917. Graduating class, Aug. 10 – 1917."

Part of the Wilbur D. Kennedy photograph album containing six hundred and five (605) black-and-white photographs, as well as a few pieces of ephemera, circa 1917-1919. The photos trace Kennedy's military career from his infantry training in the United States to his service in France during World War I and post-war service in Germany.
