[German airship hangar]

Photograph of a crowd gathered near an empty hangar in Germany to watch an airship in flight, circa 1918.

Part of the Wilbur D. Kennedy photograph album containing six hundred and five (605) black-and-white photographs, as well as a few pieces of ephemera, circa 1917-1919. The photos trace Kennedy's military career from his infantry training in the United States to his service in France during World War I and post-war service in Germany.
