Photograph album containing 129 photographs relating to Irwin Bryan Meyers's service as an airplane mechanic in France during and after World War I, circa 1918-1919. Images feature squadron and group photos of servicemen, often posed with aircraft; maps and aerials, including views of trench lines, ruined towns, and air-to-air shots of planes; a number of souvenir copy photos with sometimes gruesome post-battle scenes; crashed planes; shots of servicemen, aircraft, offices, and construction at Orly Field, France; notable buildings and anti-aircraft guns in Paris; airships and hangars, aircraft such as SPAD, Rumpler, and several shots of a biplane painted in a checkered pattern; numerous views of infantry, artillery, transport vehicles, horses and carts, including a series of images of what appears to be an inspection ceremony, and troops on the move (likely post-war).
