Inscription on overlay: "A.B.C. - Three batteries of the same group. Battery A hidden under wood was indicated by prisoner and confirmed by the photo. The small path p-p' which joins the battery A to battery B & C is one of the indications pointed out by the prisoner. Verdun Region. Sept 25, 1917- 5000m f:50."
