Order No. 127, U.S. War Department, November 21, 1917. Assigns a number of First Lieutenants, Aviation Section, Signal Reserve Corps, including Marc Lagen, to active duty. Men are ordered to report for transportation to France where they will report to the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces to train as Balloon Observers.
