Expresses gratitude of the French and briefly recounts American arrival in France, military engagements in Chateau-Thierry, Belleau Wood, Bouresches, and Vaux (France), the Second Battle of the Marne, and the Armistice. Also discusses "what other countries gave, which includes estimated casualty counts, and "what France gave," which includes casualty counts in addition to destruction of infrastructure, buildings, and resources.
