Photograph of an unidentified island in the South Pacific, circa 1941. The photograph was taken by AVG (American Volunteer Group) serviceman Robert H. Neale while en route to the China-Burma-India Theater.

Inscription on verso: "Just a lot of water with a low island in the distance. Had to take a picture of it as it was the first land we had seen in 3 weeks and is somewhere in the South Pacific."
