Description

Oblique aerial photograph of Toyama Highway near Nagoya, Japan, circa 1947. The inscription notes that the road was used at least once as an emergency landing strip.

There was a 15 foot embankment on either side which added to the mental hazard of making the landing good. Fields are Jap wheat fields, some time known as 'paddies.' Nagoya, Japan. 1947."
