Moore at Tenth Air Force Headquarters in Kunming, China, circa 1945-1946. Includes a typed memorandum from Headquarters Army Air Forces, China Theater, to Air Forces Group, War Department Bureau of Public Relations, noting that photographs have been forwarded related to Major General Hegenberger's promotion, October 2, 1945.

Typed on verso: "Headquarters Tenth Air Force, Public Relations Office, U.S. Army, APO 216. Hqs. Tenth Air Force, China--Albert F. Hegenberger, Commanding General of the Tenth Air Force, recently promoted to Major General, receives his second star from his Chief of Staff, Brig. Gen. Aubry L. Moore, at the Tenth's headquarters in Kunming. General Hegenberger, who left the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1917 to enlist in the Aviation Section of the U. S. Army Signal Corps, became Commanding General of the Tenth on July 30, 1945. His wife resides in Warren, Ariz. His daughter Geraldine is attending Arizona State College."
