The caption on verso identifies the men as (from left to right) John R. Maulonis, P. S. Huston, and A. L. Blaich, all formerly crewman of the steamship Admiral Y. S. Williams prior to their capture in Hong Kong Harbor.

Tenth Air Force, China Theater -- Three members of the Merchant Marine as they appeared when an American relief mission entered the Shamshuipo Prisoner of War Camp at Kowloon, China. All three were crewmen of the 'Admiral Y S Williams' caught in Hong Kong harbor at the outbreak of the war. Left to right are: John R. Maulonis, boatswain, [address in San Francisco, California]; P.
