Film footage of World War I-era and Golden Age-era aviation, circa 1930s-1950s. This footage is comprised of nine segments, eight of which focus on aircraft and pilots from World War I. The remaining segment is about the transatlantic flight attempts during the 1920s, culminating in Charles Lindbergh's successful solo flight in 1927. The segments feature vintage footage related to their topics. Scenes include military personnel and pilots at airfields, aircraft on the ground and in flight, and aircraft crashes and crash tests.
The title card and timecode for each segment is listed below. Specific aircraft featured are the Fokker D.VII, the De Havilland D.H.4, the "Spirit of St. Louis" (Charles Lindbergh's Ryan NYP), and the Sopwith Camel (1950s-era restoration).
