Title
[Boeing 367-80 in flight and aerial refueling scenes, circa 1950s-1960s]
Description
Film footage of the Boeing 367-80 in flight and aerial refueling scenes, circa 1950s-1960s. The first segment features several shots of the Boeing 367-80 (also known as the Dash 80) in flight near Mount Rainier (Washington). This is followed by several aerial refueling scenes of Boeing B-52 Stratofortress aircraft, filmed from the tanker aircraft (possibly a Boeing KC-135) as the boom is lowered and connected. Also included are brief scenes of an airfield, filmed from inside an aircraft (likely the tanker) as it taxis down a runway.
The footage is silent and is in black-and-white until 00:03:59; afterwards, it transitions to color.
Label on container: "Trip Shots / --80 --KC135."
