Former POW's observe 1942 Japanese Empire at IMTFE: Three former POW's look over a map of the 1942 Japanese Empire, in the courtroom of the IMTFE in Tokyo, during a session of the war crimes trials of the 26 alleged Japanese war criminals, in the War Ministry Bldg., Tokyo, Japan. L-R: John A. McDougal [McDougall], of Berkely [Berkeley], Calif., a Merchant seaman on the S.S. Jean Nicolette [Nicolet] who was torpedoed and interned by the Japanese for four years before being liberated by U.S. Forces; M/Sgt. Jesse L. Stewart, U.S.M.C., from McKinnon, Wyom., was captured and interned on Wake Island from Dec. 23, 1941 - Sept. 11, 1945, and is now stationed at Corpus Christi, Tex., and T/Sgt. Douglas W. Bogue, U.S.M.C., from Los Angeles, Calif., was captured and interned on Palawan Island from May 6, 1942 - Dec. 12, 1944 and is now stationed in Tientsin, China. Photographer - Malone."
