This first production model of the original 8 Track tape cartridge player with integrated radio and the first production model of the 8 Track cartridge mounted as a permanent memento is presented to / William P. Lear, Sr. / The inventor of the 8 Track Stereo Tape Cartridge System and founder of a new industry / June 22, 1968."
