Abstract
This audio recording contains an interview with William P. Lear about the development of the Learjet and the evolution of business flying in the United States and Europe, recorded January 9, 1961. The interview is conducted by Mr. Stroobands of the European magazine Air Review and takes place at Le Ranch, the Lears’ home in Geneva, Switzerland. Topics discussed include the economic and logistical challenges of business flying, recent developments in aircraft equipment and design, business flying trends in the U.S. and Europe, and technical specifications of the Learjet. Other speakers, including Moya O. Lear and Bill Lear Junior, are also heard during the recording.
