Abstract

This audio recording contains a band performance at a Fourth of July party hosted by the Lears at their home in Geneva, Switzerland, recorded July 4, 1962. Most of the recording is comprised of the band’s musical numbers, interspersed with audience applause and faint background conversation. Moya O. Lear is briefly heard at one point, explaining the nature of the event and conversing with an unidentified man in French.

The reel that originally contained the audio for this event was later reused by William P. Lear for another recording. As such, much of the event was taped over and has been lost. These clips are what remains of the original recording.
