Control unit constructed out of black metal with cream colored etched lettering. There are two circular black knobs on either side of the object, as well as one at the base. There are two black dial knobs on the front of object, one with "lift to turn" etched on top. There are silver screws holding the base and top together. There is a piece of black velcro taped to the bottom, and a cluster of tubes encased in a metal black covering. There is caution information labeled on both sides of the object. "Lear 12" and "C-478" are painted on one side of the object.
