Description

Plaque constructed out of a tan wood base. On the top of the base is a dark brown wood with a golden metal 8 track player. There is a golden colored plate adhered to the base that has the text, "In recognition and gratitude by the employees of Lear Jet Stereo Division. This first production of the original 8 track tape cartridge player with integrated radio and the first production of the 8 track cartridge mounted as a permanent memento is presented to William P. Lear Sr., the inventor of the 8 track stereo tape cartridge system and founder of a new industry, June 22, 1968" etched into the surface.
