Photograph of people clearing away snow and ice from two Dornier Do J Wal aircraft (fuselage numbers N25 and N24) on the ice, circa 1925. These aircraft were used by Roald Amundsen and Lincoln Ellsworth during their 1925 attempt to reach the North Pole.
