Mask, Oxygen/RAF, Type H

RAF Type H oxygen mask. Mask is olive green rubber, covering nose, mouth and chin. Interior lined with brown leather. Circular vent at side and at center, valve with on/off switch. Attached to valve is cloth covered cord with plug at end. On each side, olive green cloth straps attached with leather and metal snaps. Flexible accordion hose attached at bottom. RAF necktie worn by Pat Hancock. Necktie is navy blue woven silk decorated with small embroidered rosettes and small outlines of the United Kingdom in gold thread. Inner section of tie lined with blue silk. "Gieves" tags sewn to underside of tie.

RAF brown leather flying helmet, Type C, no markings. Around facial opening, round metal snaps and clasps. Interior is lined with lighter colored leather. At ears, hole opening for earphone on each side made from black rubber. On back of helmet, leather straps and metal snaps for holding goggles in place.
