Helmet, Flight/RAF, Mathewson, Leather (Item)

RAF brown leather flying helmet, Type C, no markings. Around facial opening, round metal snaps and clasps. Interior is lined with lighter colored leather. At ears, hole opening for earphone on each side made from black rubber. On back of helmet, leather straps and metal snaps for holding goggles in place. Marks: "Mathewson / 1796428."

RAF flight helmet with attached headphones and microphone. Helmet is made from dark brown leather, soft sided, with elastic along the back bottom edge. Interior of helmet is unlined, made from light brown leather.
