Items from Box One, Folder 12 of the Lewis Paul Bowers World War II Collection, January 1945 to May 1945. Folder contains seven letters written by Bowers to family members during his military service. Most of the letters are addressed to his mother, Ora E. Bowers.
Light brown uniform pants. Zipper and button in front.
Gold military pin in the shape of a leaf. Fastener on the back. Etchings on the petals.
Marks (on back): "Meyer Metal / Should R Form."
Silver metal pin. Two rectangular silver metal bars with three other connecting pieces. Straight pin clasp on back.
Gold military pin. In the shape of wings and a propeller. Wings are gold, propeller is silver. Two fasteners on the back.
Marks (on back): "Acid Test."
Sall gold military pin. In the shape of a bar. Fastener on the back.
Marks (on back): "Acid Test."
Silver wings pin. Two wings and a military emblem are depicted on the front. Pin and clasp in the back. The fastener from the pin is immobile.
Bronze military bin. Pin in the shape of "U.S.," with two fasteners in the back.
Military patch with a gold flower emblem sewn on. The patch is from a beige piece of fabric.
