Certifies that Michaud was a member of the original crew commissioned on the USS Pine Island (AV-12) and "therefore entitled to all rights and privileges of a plank owner on this noble ship." Includes illustrations of seaplanes and mermaids.
Certificate issued by the U.S. Navy to Jerry Michaud, August 30, 1945. Certifies that Michaud was a part of Patrol Bombing Squadron 26 (VPB-26) when the squadron entered Tokyo Bay to accept the surrender of the Imperial Japanese government. VPB-26 subsequently became the first squadron to operate from Tokyo Bay during the occupation of Japan.
