Description

RAF blue wool service coat with attached wings and ribbons. Blue long sleeve jacket, single breasted with open collar. Padded shoulders. Four brass buttons down front and four at flap pockets. Buttons are decorated with Queen's crown above eagle. Pockets are designed with box pleats. One coin pocket at waist. Three blue and black grosgrain ribbon stripes at each sleeve. Detached belt. At UPL, RAF wings patch with ribbons sewn underneath. Ribbons include Order of the British Empire (Military), Distinguished Flying Cross, India General Service Medal 1936-39, Battle of Britain Clasp (Silver-gilt Rosette on 1939-45 Star when the ribbon alone is worn), Air Crew Europe Star with gilt rose, Africa Star with gilt rose, Defense Medal, War Medal 1939-45, and the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal. Fully lined. One inside pocket.
