Caption on verso: "FEC-47-70697. 28 Jan. 47. Defense attorney at IMTFE in Tokyo: Mr. J. N. Freeman, defense attorney representing Kenryo Sato at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, proposes a dismissal of the case against his defendant for lack of evidence, during the war crimes trials of the 26 alleged Japanese war criminals in the War Ministry Bldg., Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Freeman, whose home is in Winston-Salem, N.C., was practicing attorney in Alkin, N.C., with the Employee Relations Office with the Navy Dept., in Washington, D.C. He also served as Regional IV Representative with Social Security Bond in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Washington, D.C. Photographer - Einhorn."
