Mattice, defense attorney representing Seishiro Itagaki at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, proposes a dismissal of the case against his defendant for lack of evidence, during the war crimes trials of the 26 alleged Japanese war criminals in the War Ministry Bldg., Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Mattice, whose home is in Indianapolis, Ind., attended U. of Mich., LLB 1905; practiced at Rochester, Ind. 1905-1918; Special Asst. U.S. Attorney - First Asst. U.S. Attorney, 1918-1922; Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Indianapolis, Ind., 1931-1934; Corporation Counsel, Indianapolis 1935-38; Counsel Senate Judiciary Comm. and Liquor Investigation Comm. 1942-1944; Special Asst. to Attorney Gen. since 1944, Criminal Div., instructor in criminal law, Ind.
