Abstract

This audio recording contains an address given by William P. Lear at a LearCal supervisor’s meeting, April 17, 1957. Lear voices concerns about the company’s poor performance and describes strategies to correct the downward trend, such as minimizing engineering expenses and developing higher-quality equipment. He also discusses trends in the aviation industry, particularly in regards to the military and commercial transport fields. Following the speech, Lear takes questions from the audience, including from his daughter, Patti Lear.
