Abstract

This audio recording contains comedy and musical performances from a Lear service recognition banquet held at the Grand Rapids Civic Auditorium, Grand Rapids, Michigan, November 29, 1960. Actor Pat Buttram performs a stand-up comedy routine, which includes jokes about Lear products, his entertainment career, and the popularity of Western television shows and films. Buttram also serves as master of ceremonies of the event and introduces musical performances by the Chordalears, a choir comprised of Lear employees. Songs performed are “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad,” “Winter Wonderland,” “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas,” and “Muskrat Ramble.”
