The album, which is coverless, contains approximately 365 photographs. The images depict family scenes; Chinese military personnel and leaders; friends and business associates; historic sites in China; aerial views of cities and landscapes; scenes of river flooding; and various aircraft, including a crated Boeing aircraft being unloaded from a ship. Identified locations include Wuchang, Hankow, Kuling [Guling], Nan Hu [Nanhui Xian], Kwei Yang [Guiyang, Guizhou Sheng], Yunan [Yunnan], Nanking [Nanjing], and Sian [Xi'an]. Identified individuals include Barr himself, Barr's wife Hortense, their children Jo Ann and Gene, Wellwood Beall, General Chiang Kai-Shek, and Marshal Zhang Xueliang.
