Loving cup mounted on wood base with generic jet aircraft on top of cup cover. Engraved plate on side of base has the text: "Flying Tiger American Volunteer Group Memorial Trophy / Presented to William P. Lear / For outstanding aviation achievement / 4 July 1971." Award is light brown and gold.
