Typed caption glued to verso: "U.S. health haven in the Pacific. These Allied fighting men have received treatment at the U.S. Fleet Recreation Center established by the U.S. Navy on a South Pacific island and are being moved on a landing boat to an Allied hospital ship. They are strapped in stretchers for the trip from the center to the ship. The center provides complete recreational facilities for Allied servicemen as well as treatment for war casualties. 13239-FN.
